MeetingsGeneral InformationMAC's semiannual gatherings provide attendees at all levels of experience and from all types of institutions the opportunity to build or enhance their archival competence, and to nurture individuals in a strong, diverse community of professionals. MAC's Annual Meeting is held each spring, and features more than two full days of presentations, panel discussions and workshops on a broad range of subjects germane to archival work. The added tours and social events add to the atmosphere of collegiality for which MAC is known. The MAC Pals program is also offered at the Annual Meeting. This volunteer program pairs veteran conference goers with first time attendees to help newcomers navigate meeting activities and make the most of their time at the conference. In the fall, MAC sponsors a Symposium on a focused topic. This smaller, content-rich offering provides an intimate and in-depth exploration of issues on the cutting edge of the archives profession. Both the spring Annual Meeting and the fall Symposium are indisputable bargains – another hallmark of MAC's commitment to education and professional development. And MAC strongly encourages all members to become program participants as well as attendees -- a further stimulus to professional growth. Refund policy for meeting registrations: To receive a full refund for Annual Meeting or Fall Symposium registration, individuals must submit a written request postmarked or emailed by the advance registration date. No refunds are available after the advance registration date. For further information about conferences, contact MAC's Vice President
